Toni is a Specialty Coffee Association certified brewer. She is not just a guide, but a brewing bestie who loves to connect with people and share what she's learned. Toni encourages you to play, learn new skills or just taste and enjoy during your time with Coffee Curious Workshops!

Hi! I’m Toni. I love to surprise and delight people. I’ve been in the Asheville area since 2002 and love this city. Coffee is an ever evolving love of mine too. I thought, “Why not combine my loves?” The result is Coffee Curious Workshops was born. It’s a welcoming place to play with coffee with other coffee enthusiasts. The workshops are for you to have a fun experience tasting & brewing Asheville’s coffee in a beautiful space.

I had my first espresso based drink in Italy in in my 20’s. Loved being shocked and awed by experiencing a well crafted coffee drink! My first coffee class was in 2010 at Espresso Academy in Florence, Italy. I dove deeper and became Specialty Coffee Association certified in 3 areas: barista; brewing; coffee foundations in 2021. I’ve added further emphasis by SCA certifying in intermediate brewing.

I love being curious, learning, sharing, co-creating and connecting. I’m passionate about finding craft hand roasted specialty coffee beans and skillfully brewing them to bring out the characteristics the farmer and roaster intended. I enjoy sharing the skills and knowledge I have learned.

Coffee is a great medium to connect with others. I want to inspire people to discover deeper dimensions of coffee, experience better brewing, get to know their palate and create a more intentional coffee ritual.
